Batuan has been a village of Balinese Artwork and Bali handicrafts. It is noted for its artwork and style of painting which originated in the village in the 1930s and has since emerged into a major Balinese artistic style, known as a Batuan painting.

Mas Village

Mas Village is a village of art with a focus on carving of wood sculptures. It is situated in Ubud District and Gianyar Regency has a distinctive style in the art carving of wood sculptures that promotes characteristic synergy of humanism and naturalism. The fame of this village as a village of art has been recognized nationally and internationally which can not be separated from the greatness name of some maestros who born, growth and find their identities and spirit of art in Mas Village.

The City Center ‘Ubud Market’.

Ubud Market is a traditional market offering beautiful and attractive souvenirs made by local Balinese people. It is not far different with other markets available in the tourism area where most of souvenirs are sold in the individual shops based on show owner design. It is an ideal place to place for tourists where they can experience at the great bargain art market in Ubud Bali. This market as a society economics of Ubud. The market is unfolding from west to easterly divided become two group with different purpose. There are two markets available at the same area those are one block at the West side is for a traditional artistic market and another block located in the east as an everyday traditional fundamental market requirement. This market is opened every day about at 08:00 until 18:00, even some from them still open until nighttime.
